Your sponsorship provides children with personalized, holistic care all the way through adulthood. Aside from providing financial support for education, a safe home, and warm meals – you have the opportunity to also provide for your sponsor child through prayer and encouragement. You get to be that extra person in their corner, championing who God is shaping them to be!
Sponsorships occur in increments of $44. Sponsoring at any rate is truly impactful in the life of a child, and you! Tracy’s life has not been easy; after the tragic loss of her mother and abandonment of her father, coupled with her own disability, she and her siblings were left alone. Through it all, however, Tracy has shown remarkable resilience and strength. When BTCM stepped in, we were able to locate a loving and safe guardian for Tracy and her siblings, and we have partnered with the family to help them meet Tracy’s unique needs. Now, Tracy is not just surviving; she’s thriving. Tracy has found her place in a school tailored to cater to children with special needs. Here, she is surrounded by understanding teachers and supportive peers, enabling her to reach her full potential. Fleeing a dangerous situation with his stepfather, Isaac’s mother brought him to BTCM for safety. After some time caring for Isaac on campus, we began Family Strengthening with his family and have learned that his stepfather is no longer in the picture. With supervision, Isaac is now able to safely spend time with his mother and older sister during holidays, which he enjoys. Hedwig, our beloved founding leader, has retired from her role as Executive Director but continues to serve faithfully on the Ugandan Board and as a Jajja (grandmother) to the children and staff. With a huge heart for orphans—many of whom she has raised in her own home—Hedwig remains passionate about safeguarding BTCM’s mission, ensuring we stay focused on helping children grow in their faith and pursue Jesus every day. Her leadership, care, and spiritual wisdom continue to shape the ministry in powerful ways.

In this new season, Hedwig spends her days pouring into others through vision-planning, problem-solving, and discipleship. She counsels staff, guardians, and children with wisdom gained from years of experience, while also advocating for vulnerable children in court, with guardians, and alongside government officials. As a respected Jajja and spiritual mother, she continues to live as a powerful example of Godly leadership for the next generation. In addition to her ongoing role on the Ugandan Board, Hedwig now coaches leaders from other ministries, expanding BTCM’s impact by helping others care for vulnerable children with excellence and faithfulness.

Allan is deeply passionate about leading and empowering our Ugandan staff, helping them grow both professionally and spiritually. Allan plays a key role in developing strategic plans that strengthen our programs and ensure long-term impact. At the heart of his leadership is a desire to see every child in our care encounter the love of Jesus. He is committed to helping the ministry—and everyone in it—pursue Jesus more each day.

Allan’s days are full and deeply intentional. He starts by connecting with our Ugandan staff—encouraging them, praying with them, and helping guide their work. Much of his time is spent planning and problem-solving alongside our team, tackling both big-picture strategy and day-to-day challenges. His talents are many, though, and it’s not unusual to find him overseeing a construction project he helped design—while carrying a baby on his hip—or discipling boys during a game of soccer. Whether he’s meeting with local leaders, mentoring staff, or pointing children to Jesus, Allan approaches every task with joy, wisdom, and a servant’s heart.

Christine has a huge heart for Jesus and children. Growing up in the BTCM program Christine learned firsthand just how important it was to have a social worker involved in her life. She loves to be able to give back by serving the BTCM children and their families through connection, teaching biblical parenting, discipleship, and reunification. She is our head social worker and leads our team with humility and compassion.

Christine leads with both compassion and strength as she champions each child’s holistic growth. She spends her days mentoring and discipling the children, while also overseeing the social work team and ensuring every child’s emotional, spiritual, and physical needs are met—including through family strengthening. Christine also represents BTCM and the children in meeting government requirements, advocating for their protection and well-being. With wisdom and a heart rooted in Jesus, she works daily to fill any gaps in care and lead the way in loving each child well.
