Hedwig, our beloved founding leader, has retired from her role as Executive Director but continues to serve faithfully on the Ugandan Board and as a Jajja (grandmother) to the children and staff. With a huge heart for orphans—many of whom she has raised in her own home—Hedwig remains passionate about safeguarding BTCM’s mission, ensuring we stay focused on helping children grow in their faith and pursue Jesus every day. Allan is deeply passionate about leading and empowering our Ugandan staff, helping them grow both professionally and spiritually. Evelyn always has a big smile and loves our children like her own. She works hard each day to not only meet their physical needs, but to help them grow spiritually and emotionally as well.
A Day in Her Life: Day house moms work in our baby room during the day with our littlest kids. They spend their days singing, playing, dancing, feeding, and loving the children so that the other house moms can focus on washing, cooking, and cleaning while the kids are at school.

Elizabeth is grateful for the opportunity to care for the children of BTCM as a house mom. She believes every child deserves to be seen, heard, and deeply loved. With a heart full of compassion and a desire to reflect Christ’s love, Elizabeth is dedicated to walking alongside each child — celebrating their joys, comforting them in challenges, and encouraging them to grow in faith and character. Her hope is to create a home where laughter is shared, hearts are nurtured, and every child feels secure, valued, and part of a family.
